What helps
If you’re calling about a horse that has a problem, these four things get you a much more useful answer in a much shorter call:
- What the horse does, described plainly. Not “he’s disrespectful,” but “he crowds me on the left side when I lead him past the gate.”
- When it started, and what changed around then: new barn, new saddle, new feed, an injury, a new person handling him.
- Who’s seen him. Last farrier visit, last dental, last vet visit.
- What you want. Trail safe, ranch work, a first horse for a kid, a colt started, or just to stop being afraid of your own horse. All valid.
