What a directory search shares, and what Lazy K keeps.
The Horse Services Directory works without an account. Lazy K does not receive or store your search location, device location, or the live business results returned to your browser.
Information sent to service providers
When you type a city, state or ZIP code and submit it, your browser sends that text to Open-Meteo's geocoding service so possible locations can be identified. After you select a location, your browser sends the selected coordinates and search area to the OpenStreetMap Overpass service.
If Google Places is configured, your browser also sends the selected location, category search text, and approximate search center to Google Maps Platform. Google handles that information under the Google Privacy Policy and Google Maps Platform Terms. The public browser key used to load Google Maps is restricted to this website and is not a password or a server credential.
Device location is opt-in
The directory does not ask for your location when the page opens. It asks the browser only after you press “Use my location.” If you allow it, the coordinates are used for that search in the browser and are sent to the live map providers described above. They are not sent to or saved by Lazy K.
What is stored
Live Google Maps and OpenStreetMap business results remain in memory for the current page and are not copied into Lazy K's listing file or browser local storage. Google Place IDs may be retained only where Google permits it; this version does not retain them after the page is closed. Lazy K-owned listings are records independently submitted, claimed or reviewed by Lazy K.
The directory does not add analytics, advertising cookies, accounts, public reviews or location history. Choosing to email a correction, claim or missing business opens your email program; the message is then handled like any other email you send to Lazy K.
