What it costs
This is a subscription. It renews on its own and keeps charging until you cancel. $6.99 on the same date each month, or $59.99 on the same date each year. There is no reminder before a renewal, and no refund afterwards.
You can cancel any time, yourself, from your dashboard. You keep what you have paid for until the end of that period.

Payment is taken by Square on their own secure page. No card details are entered on this site and none are stored here.
Payments are final. We do not give refunds, including partway through a month or a year.
You can cancel whenever you like and you keep everything you have paid for until the end of that period, but nothing comes back. On the yearly plan that matters: cancel in month two and you keep Horse Hub Plus for the remaining ten months, and the $59.99 stays paid. If you are not sure yet, the monthly plan is the smaller decision.
Four things we do put right, because they are our mistakes rather than your risk: a double charge, a charge after you canceled, a charge you did not authorize, and a wrong amount or a stretch where Horse Hub Plus was broken on our side. The refund policy sets out all four in full.

Drawing a boundary and reading its acreage stays free for everybody, signed in or not. Saving is free too: a free account keeps its plans, reopens them and changes them later, within its three objects. What the subscription removes is the limit.
The rider layer on Horse Trails
- Read what other riders reported: parking, footing, water, obstacles, conditions
- See contributor photographs of trailheads, crossings, campsites and hazards
- Add your own reports and photographs, and correct your own later
- Report anything inaccurate, unsafe or wrongly posted
The official agency information, the map and the search stay free for everybody.
Training videos are not included. The training library is a separate subscription at a separate price, and it is not built yet. Nothing on this page buys it, and Horse Hub Plus will not quietly start including it later.
What stays free, permanently
This is not a trial, and these are not going behind a wall later. The decision is recorded, with its reasoning, in the project’s own notes:
- Every calculator, planner and guide. Bodyweight, vitals, hay, pasture, towing, trim tracking, care calendars, trip checklists, annual cost. Signed out, no account.
- The whole trail search. Agency data, published sources, provenance and the map, for anyone.
- The Property Designer’s boundary and acreage. Draw your own place and read what it measures without an account.
- The services directory and every written guide.
What a free account adds
- Your saved records: results kept against the right horse, dated, so next spring you can see what last spring looked like.
- Three objects in the Property Designer, enough to lay out something recognisable, and saving them. A free account keeps its plans, reopens them and changes them later, and can keep more than one.
- A profile photo of your horse, and how many rider reports and photographs each trail has.

How access works, and why it is built this way
A subscription is recorded as an entitlement on your account: one record per thing it unlocks. Three things follow from that, and all three are deliberate:
- Being signed in never unlocks the paid half. The check happens in the database rules rather than in the page, so it is not something a browser can talk its way past.
- Nothing ever asks “did they pay?”, only “do they hold this?” That is what lets a phone app, or any future way of paying, grant the same access without any of this being rebuilt.
- Coming back from the payment page does not unlock anything by itself. Access appears when Square confirms it to our server, which is usually seconds and can occasionally be longer.
Canceling, and what happens if it lapses
You keep what you made. Saved plans and filed reports are not deleted, and deleting your own work never requires a subscription. What lapses is the ability to add, to save beyond the free allowance, and to read other riders’ contributions.
- Cancel and you keep everything until the end of the period you have paid for.
- If a payment fails, access continues to the end of that period while Square retries.
- Your own reports and photographs stay yours to read and to delete afterwards.
Canceling is not a refund: payments already taken are final. What canceling does is stop the next one and let the period you have paid for run out.
Before you decide anything
Lazy K administrators can read everything saved to an account, free or paid, including property plans, horse notes and photographs you upload. That is deliberate and it is written out in full on the member privacy page, before you sign up rather than after.
