What a Lazy K account is, and what it is not.

The account
A free account lets you save results from certain tools, keep basic horse profiles, and read approved rider reports. It is free, and we may keep it free or change that with notice. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details to yourself.
What you put in
Your horse records and saved results are yours. You keep whatever rights you have in them. We store them so the site can show them back to you, and we do not use them for anything else.
By submitting a trail report, you are asking us to publish it to other members once it has been reviewed, so give us permission to do that. You keep your rights in what you wrote. You can withdraw a report.
Trail reports, in particular
- Report what you actually saw, on a date you actually went.
- Every new or edited report goes back into review before anyone else sees it.
- A reviewer can approve, reject or flag a report, and add a note. A reviewer cannot rewrite what you wrote — the security rules prevent it.
- Do not put anybody's personal information in a report. The format has no field for it and the rules refuse it.
- Agency rules beat rider reports. A report is one rider's experience on one day; the land manager decides what is allowed. Always check the linked official source before hauling.
Contributing is not on sale
Submitting reports needs a Trail Contributor entitlement. It cannot currently be bought. There is no checkout and no subscription anywhere on this site. Kat or Trevin can grant complimentary access by hand for testing, and that is the only way anyone has it today.
What this site is not
Everything here — guides, calculators, trail data and reports — is educational. It does not replace a veterinarian, a farrier, a trainer or the land manager. Horses are large animals and riding is risky. Decisions about your horse, and about where and whether to ride, are yours.
Trail information comes from public agency sources and from other riders. We check what we can and label where every fact came from, but we cannot guarantee a trail is open, safe, or suitable for your horse today.
Fair use
Please do not attempt to break the site's access controls, read other members' records, submit reports you did not gather, scrape the site wholesale, or use it to harass anyone. We may suspend an account that does.
Ending it
You can stop using the account at any time and delete your horses and records. Whole-account deletion is currently done by hand — email Kat and we will do it. We may close an account that breaks these terms, and we will say why.
The parts a lawyer needs to write
These sections are deliberately left as placeholders rather than guessed at: limitation of liability, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, governing law and venue, dispute resolution, and the process for changing these terms. Marked for legal review.
